When you take a shower, are you there? Really? Do you sense the water on your body? The smell of the shampoo or body wash? Are you there? Or, are you rushing for a date, thiking about what to eat for breakfast, making 'to do' lists or occupied with worries? The next time you shower, just notice where your attention is. If it is not with taking a shower, you can return your attention there. For this practice, the act of taking a shower is the focus just like the breath is with sitting meditation at times. When you take your next shower, where are you?
